You know that special burger sauce you get from fast food burger joints and wish you had it for your own burgers? Well, don’t you worry: I have created the ultimate burger sauce that tastes just like the real thing and as an added bonus: it is super healthy and you’ll love it so much you will want to use it as a sauce for all of your dipping needs or even as a salad dressing! Spicy from the chipotle pepper. Smoky from the smoked paprika and creamy from the tahini, this sauce is the boss for any meal or snack requiring a dressing!
Condiments
I’m a firm believer that if you have the right sauce, you can make ANYTHING taste good! Some of my favorite condiments include hummus, tahini sauce, mustard, ketchup, and my Creamy Cheesy Chickpea Sauce! It is also delicious to use with my Lentil Wraps (Keep an eye out for that recipe soon). Whole food plant-based sauces are great with rice and veggies or in place of Mayo!
Being whole food plant-based I do not use oil, sugar, or any processed foods and sadly; while there are some great-tasting vegan dressings out there, many contain a lot of preservatives and oil. Not finding anything without oil, I decided to make one myself with whatever I had in my fridge. For once I’m glad my fridge was empty and I know you’ll be glad it was too So let’s dig in! Best Ever Burger Sauce
Equipment
- 1 medium mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 cup cold water
- 3 tbsp yellow mustard
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1/2 tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chipotle pepper
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a small bowl and stir well with a fork to combine
